School of Rock

Thank you to Diane, a parent of a past pupil who having heard about our children learning to drum on the back of chairs, has very kindly donated a full drum kit to school.  

A number of children are now happily beating out their rhythms on the very welcome drum kit.  Thank you to Kane's dad Billy,  for coming in to school to set them up and tune them to ensure optimal sound quality. 

The children sound amazing and were joined by Becky, one of our school governors, to show how their enthusiasm and energy is being channelled to develop their musical skills 🎶. 

We also have a growing number of guitarists in school who are developing their interests in music and are working together songwriting and developing their guitar skills.

It's great to see  musicians of the future growing their talents at Westwood.

A  exciting future ahead for all of them, for sure.
