The Big Battery Hunt Competition

Wow...thank you for all your support with the Big Battery Hunt! We collected over 5600 batteries! The Eco Committee counted them before we submitted the totals. We went to post office to post our totals. Well done everybody; you've done a great job helping to recycle!

We await the competition results...watch this space :)

Friday 14th October 2017

Our very busy Eco Reps, who were delighted by the results of the litter pic last week, have been busy writing to the Parents and Grandpareents who came to to our event. They all chose somebody to write to and then wrote a Thank you letter for supporting us in our woirk to make Buckley a better place!

I'm sure our supporters could see the difference and were pleased to receive a letter of Thanks!

Well done everybody!

Friday 7th October 2017

We came, we saw and we collected litter! What an amazing time we had. We had been very busy organising today's events and equipment. The day had finally arrived! Off to the Flash near Bistre Church, Buckley Common, Princess Park and Buckley Town Centre armed with bags, litter pickers and many williang hands-large and small! The children and our fantastic volunteers worked so hard and made Buckley look like a new pin! We had lovely comments from passers by, who congratulated the children on making a difference to the town today. When we returned to school we sorted all our litter into recyclable and non recyclable materials. What a lot we collected! We definitely made a difference to Buckley today. Well done Children, Well done Volunteers and Well done Westwood - you have done Buckley proud!
