Pupil Councils

Our pupils councils are proactive and play an integral role at life in Westwood.

This is where you will all the information from our Pupil Councils at Westwood.

We have four committees / councils that are not only the voice of our learners but are advocates of the Four Purposes of the New Curriculum and passionate as 21st century learners. As part of their action plans, they engage in many curriculum projects, extra-curricular and play activities, organise charity events and are all superb ambassadors for our school, within Westwood and out in the Buckley community. Currently our teams are working on the following:

House Captains: Kiva Ambassadors and the rights of the child. Organising whole school  events and play opportunities for the children with small lunch time clubs, inside school and in the outdoors. #healthy confident individuals

Criw Cymraeg: Bilingualism and Urdd Competitions,  the  Eisteddfod and Welsh language opportunities. #ambitious, capable learners

Eco Committee: Environmental issues and current affairs, within school, locally, nationally and globally. #ethical, informed citizens

School Council: School Shop and Board Game Library.#enterprising, creative contributors

We would like our  Westwood family to be able to play a part within our pupil councils / committees. Please contact Mrs J. S. Williams if you would like to be involved with our pupil councils and committees.
