October Apple Harvest

Well done to our harvesters in Y5 and Y6 for reaping in a bumper crop of apples from the school orchard this year. 

Now that our apple harvest has been weighed, and the fruit graded, children have many  suggestions for use including:

• Sharing with the Buckley Food Bank and Buckley Cross Methodist Church
• Baking apple pies and apple crumbles
• Making apple juice
• Making toffee/chocolate apples
• Using pieces of fruit as a focus for still art sketching and drawing
• Providing fruit for cook to bake with in the school kitchen

Clearly it is time to get busy!
