Hi I’m Julie, I joined Penguins in September 2021 and I'm delighted to be leading the team as Childcare and Business Manager. It sounds like a grand title, but it basically means I am the person in charge of the daily sessions at Penguins.
I am very excited to be joining a great team and look forward to meeting you all. Having worked in various schools for many years I am hoping to bring my enthusiasm and expertise to ensure your children have the best possible experience at Penguins.
I have two grown up boys that I am extremely proud of and a very kind and lovely fiancé who happens to be an amazing cook 😊. We enjoy camping trips, making our own cider, DIY and growing yummy things to eat in the garden.
Hello! I'm Delyth, and I’ve been part of Penguins for lots of years!
I enjoy being with your fantastic children and seeing them grow and develop.
When I’m not busy in school or at Penguins, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my gorgeous grandchildren, and socialising with friends.
Hi I’m Jen! I am a married mum to three children.
I have been working at Penguins for several years now and every day is different! Each day I come in and find myself laughing at the wonderfully funny and amazing things the children say and do.
I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and trying to keep my house plants alive!
Hello my name is Allison. I am one of the staff members at Penguins.
I have been at Penguins for several years now and have enjoyed watching every child grow and learn!
I am also a mum of two children aged 12 and 7, both my children have attended Penguins and this helped them grow and get ready for school. They both enjoyed their time here and still talk about it!
In my spare time I like nothing better than spending time with my little family and visiting my favourite place -Barmouth.
Hi, I’m Hayley.
I am mum to two boys who keep me busy. We love to go on adventures and enjoy camping. I also love crocheting in my spare time, and long walks with the dog!
I joined the team working at Penguins in 2019, and I really enjoy seeing all the children having fun and learning. Every day is different!
Hi, I’m Isabel!
I’m new to the Penguins team and am excited to work with everyone. I am a qualified level 3 practitioner and am currently completing my level 5 in Primary Education at Glyndwr University.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my younger brother and watching him develop his own little personality.
Hi I'm Carol. I am the Chair of Trustees and Responsible Individual for Penguin Daycare. Those titles sound fancy but essentially, I am here to support the staff and help the setting to run smoothly.
I really enjoy supporting this community provision, it is very rewarding and I learn something new every day.
I work for Flintshire County Council in Social Services and I have worked at the Council since I was 16, after starting as a Trainee.
I am married to Tom and we have two children, Lewis and Everly, and I can't forget our cocker spaniel puppy named Ella. In my spare time I love going for country walks, eating LOTS of chocolate and I am rather partial to a glass of Prosecco most weekends.
Hi, I’m Cheryl Quirk. I’m a very familiar face to lots of you already through my role in both Nursery and Early Entitlement in Westwood School. I am delighted to now be a part of Penguin Daycare as both Trustee and Responsible Individual (RI). I have 34 years of experience in Early Years and can genuinely say that I love what I do and do what I love!
To be part of a child’s first steps on their learning journey and to witness their progress and development is so rewarding.
I share my home with my 2 grown up children and my husband. All of which are now experts at spotting a wonderful activity for the children to enjoy, collecting resources or laminating print outs!
I love going on long walks with my husband, exploring new places to visit on holiday and I suppose I need to add that I am best known for spotting a bargain on my endless shopping trips!
Hi I'm Louis and I am the Treasurer of Penguin Daycare. More about me to follow shortly :-)
Hello I’m Steph the secretary of the trustees for Penguin Daycare. My role is to support the staff and other trustees. I am the fact finder and google queen.
I am currently medically retired, so this gives me the chance to give back to the community. All 3 of my children attended penguins, and now my grandsons have also used the provision.
In my spare time I love to do things with my family we love camping and going for days out. I share my home with my husband and very pampered cat Kipper, who thinks he is a dog.
